The first 12 years of my research were spent in Information Technology (IT) and instructional & educational design. In the last 4 years however my research has moved into the area of computer-based advisory systems involving animal identification and veterinary diagnosis software. After becoming involved in companion animal studies I found my research scope expanding to cover general animal studies and veterinary technology. As a fledgling researcher in this area I have found summative research papers to be a great benefit by providing a cohesive picture of a research area at a given point in time.
