Matthias Haase

Matthias is an experienced engineer and a researcher. Matthias has seven years working experience in environmental design in the construction industry. His focus is on advanced façade technology with emphasis on double-skin facades for hot and humid climate. He is hoping to optimize the design of double-skin facades in order to develop a cost-effective system that reduces overall environmental impact of office buildings. As an engineer from his background Matthias is very much interested in finding a climate responsive approach that starts from a different angle than simply copying European technology to Asian context. He will be using CFD as well as dynamic building simulation in order to tackle the problem. Monitoring existing case studies will help to validate the data. Further simulations will result in prototypes that will be tested.
